Search engine optimization is the art and science of making websites attractive to the internet’s search engines. The first step in successfully achieving stellar search engine optimization is to lure search engine’s web crawlers to your website. Web crawlers are computer programs that the search engines use gather data and index information from the websites. The information the web crawlers gather is used to determine the ranking of a webpage.

One of the fastest ways to hamper a web crawler is to construct a website that has frames. Most search engines have crawlers that can’t penetrate the frames, if they can’t get into a webpage to read it then that webpage remains unindexed and unranked. Two search engines, Google and Inktome, have web crawlers that are capable of penetrating frames. Before submitting your website to a search engine do some research and find out if they have a crawler that is incapable of penetrating any frames.

If you have written frames into your URL it will probably be worth your effort to go back and rewrite your URL’s. Once you have rewritten your URLs you might be surprised to find that the new addresses are easier on humans as well as web crawlers, the frameless URLs are easier to type in documents as links and references.

Once you have rewritten your URL’s it is time to start submitting your website to search engines. Some webmasters like to use an automated search engine submission service. If you decide to go with the submission service you should be aware that there will be a fee involved, the minimum fee is typically fifty-nine US dollars. This price should keep a few URLs on the search engines for a year. Other webmasters like to avoid big fees by submitting their website to individual search engine on their own.

Once your webpage is submitted to a search engine you need to sit down and design a crawler page. A crawler page is a webpage that contains nothing else expect links to every single page of your website, Use the title of each page as the as the link text. This will also give you some extra keywords that will help improve the ranking the crawlers assign to your website. Think of the crawler page as a site map to the rest of your website.

Typically, the crawler page won’t appear in the search results. This happens because the page doesn’t have enough text for the crawlers to give that individual page a high ranking, after all its nothing more then a portal to the rest of your site and your human users won’t need to use it. Don’t panic if it crawlers don’t instantly appear to index your website. There are a lot of websites available on the internet that need to be crawled, indexed, and then ranked. It can sometimes take up to three months for a web crawler to get to yours.

Workshops and Story telling at the National Library of Ireland Thursday Tales and Trails is a series of afternoon workshops inspired by the Library's exhibition Tall Tales and Deadly Drawings which will take place every Thursday afternoon during July and August. In the exhibit’s immersive five-screen theater, visitors are transported to the beginning of exploration through a visual timeline of vehicles that paved the way for future space flight. Next, they are propelled into the future for a glimpse at how NASA plans to revolutionize the way tomorrow’s explorers will live and work in space. Along the way, visitors will also have the opportunity to touch a real moon rock and receive a personalized photograph as an astronaut.
NASA’s Exploration Experience is designed for all ages. NASA’s Exploration Experience is wheelchair accessible. Touring the exhibit takes about 12 minutes.

"Cellular Journey" is a Fleet-created exhibition that features a series of interactive exhibits designed to introduce you to human cell biology, the importance of stem cells and the potential impact of stem cells on medical research in the fields of regenerative and personalized medicine.

You can use a microscope at the "From Tissues to Cells" exhibit to examine various human tissue samples. You'll learn about four different types of tissues – epithelial, connective, muscle and nerve – and how they each carry out a specific function.

"Journey Inside a Cell," using a unique virtual reality concept to explore what it looks like inside a human cell. The fly-through concept allows you to examine the cellular universe within the human body in-depth by venturing into specific parts of a cell. Get to know the inside of a human cell, and then launch a stem cell on its path to become a specific type of cell.

A realistic lab display will introduce you to the layout and functions of a typical stem cell research laboratory. Additional hands-on interactives give you the opportunity to explore some of the real life techniques scientists use in the lab when working with stem cells.

In this sessions you will learn the basics of self-defense – which include basic skills such as blocking, striking, defense aganist punches, escapes from grabs and even ground defense. These classes are designed with you in mind. Please feel free to ask whatever questions you may have.

These sessions will be taught as to help you gain confidence in your own skills, so be prepared to get down and dirty, as fighting is. There is no uniforms and no formal structure. You are there to learn, not to be babied. Your classes will be taught by a second degree black belt in the American Jiu Jitsu Federation.

It’s perfect for the busy New Yorker looking to increase her personal safety while getting a fantastic workout. Jiu Jitsu includes cardiovascular and strength moves, making it an all-around workout. Speed, flexibility, and coordination and endurance all improve.

There are no rules in street self defense. You are taught to use natural reflexes and to take advantage of any resource within reach. By adapting a more street combat attitude, students are taught to use an attacker’s at vulnerable points such as back of the neck, eyes, throat, knees and groin. Any tool, any trick, any move considered “dirty” in sport combat is encouraged here for true personal self defense. On top of that, students are taught to recognize their own personal strengths and to be ready to use them at any moment. This discipline results not only in improved safety, but also in increased self-awareness.

The exhibition will examine Stickley’s contributions to the history of American design and architecture during his most productive and creative period, from 1900 to 1913, and will provide new insights into the artistic, commercial, and social context of Stickley’s work. From The Craftsman magazine to his own stores in New York, Washington and Boston, Stickley offered customers a complete lifestyle based on his philosophy of simple design and quality materials. THE EDGE OF TIME: PHOTOGRAPHS OF MEXICO by MARIANA YAMPOLSKY marks the beginning of the Wittliff Collections' 25th anniversary exhibition schedule, with more to come. Mariana Yampolsky (1925-2002) played an important role in building the Wittliff's contemporary Mexican photography archive. In 1994, Yampolsky met with Connie Todd (then Bill Wittliff's assistant, now director, retired) in Mexico City to discuss Bill's idea of a Southwestern and Mexican Photography Collection. Yampolsky put them in touch with virtually every outstanding photographer in the country. She also talked to the artists themselves, enthusiastically promoting the project, and in so doing, authenticated what was then a little-known repository to the Mexican photographic community. This exhibition honors her role in the Wittliff Collections' history with 60 black-and-white photographs of Mexico she created during the 30-year span of 1964 to 1994. Reflecting Yampolsky's lifelong concerns, her images capture rural Mexico and its people with respect and infinite care. They function as works of art and as evidence of a moment in Mexico's history when life-ways that have endured for centuries faced the onslaught of modernization. One of the major figures in twentieth-century Mexican photography, the late Mariana Yampolsky, who also worked as an engraver, artist, editor, lecturer, and book designer, was accepted as an integral part of Mexican life and art. THE EDGE OF TIME: PHOTOGRAPHS OF MEXICO was originally organized by the Wittliff Collections in 1996 and toured with Exhibits USA from 1996 through 1999. It is also the title of the second volume, published in 1998, in our award-winning book series with UT Press. The current version looks like arse on the iPhone, and is a bit of a mess of legacy stuff. I also wanted to lighten everything up a bit, it’s too dark and gloomy.

Born in Orlando Florida 09/16/1964.
A part of the MUSIC and ART scene in the late 80's and 90's working in Night Clubs Like "THE EDGE", he watched Orlando's Art and Music scene flourish. In the 2000's he worked in the scenic art industry working on rides like Jaws at Universal Studios, and the Rainforest Cafe at Walt Disney World. In 2008 he began painting on scrap pieces of plywood, giving his paintings a rustic and organic feel. Hanging his first pieces at The Virgin Olive Market he quickly received positive feedback. In 2009, he became the resident Artist at a Downtown restaurant called FIFI's, located within the Sanctuary Condominiums. He began networking in the Downtown and Thornton Park area hanging at places like Dexter's Thornton Pk, Bacco Italian Restaurant in the UCF area. Also the Grand Bohemian Hotel&Art Gallery, collaborating with designer Jimmy Choo for the Art and Fashion Show at the Bosendorfer Lounge. Currently, he is showing at Hair Salon's like Twist located in Collage Park and Eclipse Salon. Coming up, Orlando Tastings Wine Bar located in Downtown Orlando.

Also if you want to build your site faster, there are numerous free tools around the internet that are just waiting to be used. Try a few of them and decide for yourself which suits you the best. First thing’s first, take a blank sheet of paper and do a sketch of the want to be site. It will be very useful for you to take a quick pick and keep you on the right track.

Make a flowchart of the entire site you want to build. Think of it as a pyramid, with the homepage being the top, followed closely by the most important pages, and after that by the less important pages and so on. Try not to make the pyramid too deep, meaning that if you go beyond tier 3 you will make you job of optimizing the page for search engines very hard. A very good practice if you want to build your site fast, is build the homepage first, and make it a template for the other pages of your site. They will look the same but will be filled with different content and have different links. This way adding new pages to your site becomes an easy and pleasant job.

If you want to become a good web designer be alert, as you have to take care of more than one thing. The most important one is the need of your visitors. Make the navigation intuitive, and the colors must not hurt the eye. Also you need to take care of the search engine needs, meaning you have to optimize the page so you get a good search engine ranking.

A good web designer can lead the visitors to a path that he chooses, meaning that he will make the site in such a manner that a visitor will reach the sales page quickly and with the open mindedness to buy your products. The sales page must not be more than a click away for any page of your site. Remember that a very important thing is to take your visitors their email address and their name, this is if possible. You can later use these to sell them more products and in time if you get a big list this can be very profitable.

And the best thing is, visitors do not even have to know you created a new Stylesheet especially for the printer.

Stylesheets can also be created specifically for PDA’s and such. As you will understand, this adds some great flexibility to the presentation of your web document.

In the past, websites were designed through the use of tables. It was used as a way to control the visual appearance of the Web pages presented to end users. Although it was successful, the use of tables posed several problems. Many Web pages have been designed with tables nested within tables, resulting in large HTML documents which use more bandwidth than documents with simpler formatting.

Eventually, the idea of using tableless web designs begun to grow, and many professionals have stepped up to introduce a new set of standards on how to control every elements found in the website without risking its accessibility. Eventually, the use of style sheet languages was introduced into the market which provided a way for web designers to design their websites without the use of tables.

There have been many types of style sheet languages used in the past. CSS was one of the many which were developed to improve the separation between design and content. Other than CSS, the XSL or is also Extensible Stylesheet Language another type of style sheet language. Similar to CSS, the XSL is also a standardized language used in the market. Although many have cited that CSS is still the best style sheet language ever used in the market, there are those that have said that XSL is better than CSS in other ways.

The term XSL is used to refer to a family of languages used for transforming and rendering XML documents. One of its most popular type is the XSL Formatting Objects (XSL-FO) and XSL Transformations (XSLT). The combination of XSLT and XSL-FO creates a powerful styling language, though much more complex than CSS. However, unlike CSS, XSL-FO is more of a stand alone.

CSS modifies a document that attached to it, while the XSL-FO document (the result of the transformation by XSLT of the original document) contains all of the content to be presented in a purely presentational format. It has a wide range of specification options with regard to paged formatting and higher-quality typesetting.

However, the complexity of XSL-FO is a problem, largely because implementing an FO processor is very difficult. CSS implementations in web browsers are still not entirely compatible with one another, and it is much simpler than writing an FO processor. It is quite a common practice to develop the website design in the graphic design software first of all. All the pages of the web site are designed using the graphic design software and are then coded in different programming languages to develop the web design. The file format that is most commonly developed using the designing software is that of .psd files. These Photoshop design templates are then worked upon to convert these into different sections of a webpage and coded separately. So, how does the web design services providers go about doing these?

First step is the creation of the design template in photoshop. This is done by the expert graphic artists who are familiar with the nuances of website designing.

Second step involves the creation of files. One is the CSS file which is usually created by the name of style.css.Other is the index.html file which represents the home page of the site. A folder also needs to be created with the name of -images- that would be containing all the images and graphics. This step also involves the initialisation of the CSS file in between the header tags in the coding section of Dreamweaver.

In the third step, each of the broad sections of the web page are clearly defined and named as per DIV classification. For example, you can have DIV # header, DIV #footer etc. There is a container which is first defined and is centred on the web browser and it is this container which will contain all the DIV sections.

Fourth step involves the background colour selection from a small area of the template body using the rectangular marquee tool (M). The selection will show the colour of the template in the hexadecimal coding using the Eye dropper tool (I). After making selection, using the Edit section of the Photoshop file, select Copy Merged and then you need to paste the selection to a new document which you will need to open using Ctrl-N command. If Photoshop does not automatically fill in the size dimensions of the item on clipboard, you can take care to ensure that these are same as the once which you have selected using the rectangular marquee. After copying, it needs to be saved as Save for Web & Devices in the PNG file format in the images folder by the name of background.png.

Fifth step in website designing services involves coding for the background image in the source code editor. This will involve the setting of margin, padding, border, etc. as well as giving the path for background image and defining the fonts and colour codes.

Sixth step would involve the slicing of the title name and coding it. Title is selected with rectangular marquee tool and the same operation is carried out as in previous step of background coy and pasting. Name the file as title.png. Place it in the images folder. The coding will involve the source code editing sheet as well as the CSS stylesheet. In source code, you need to insert another DIV id by the name of –title. And this –title- will be defined in the CSS stylesheet.

Website design similarly follows these steps till the webpage template is cut, sliced and copied.
